how many clubs will you guys be carrying? I believe jim carried 7 or 8 last year.
Also... i assume there will be no practice swings.
Here is the set I am planning on starting with...3 wood, 5 hybrid, 6 iron, 8 iron, pitching wedge, sand wedge, and putter. I am planning on leaving my full set at the clubhouse and may make some changes throughout the course of the day - most likely substituting my 3 wood for driver and most likely switching out my putters at some point.
I plan on my regular pre-shot routine for my opening tee shots for each round and I would guess I would probably have a couple of practice swings here and there throughout the day - especially on some of the tougher shots (i.e. most penal if you miss like #2 and #9) at Kingsley and for delicate shots around the green As for reading putts, etc. - I am not planning on reading any except for looking at the green and line as I walk up to the green. One of my biggest goals will be to keep balls out of the native - that will be a huge time killer and there are some hills at Kingsley that you just don't want to walk up and down at all, let alone in the middle of a six round day.
I am not so worried about running out of time on the day (when I have played as a single at Kingsley before I usually get around in less than two hours with my full bag, pre-shot routine, reading putts, etc.) - my biggest concern is just the stamina to make it around 6+ times.
Well, two weeks from today we will be done and hopefully recovering...
