Ahh memories! I will never forget the short course I would build at my parents house during my youth. 6 holes and all you needed was a sand wedge and a ball or two!
Hole 1 - The first was a tricky 72 yard opener, playing from an elevated tee over the edge of the house. Anything long or right and you were in big trouble.
Hole 2 - This severely uphill 52 yarder required knowledge of the course and an accurate yardage, as only the flagstick is visible from the tee.
Hole 3 - This 48 yard, significantly downhill shot was a risk-reward hole. Going for the green is an option, but better not come up short, or it's a lost ball!
Hole 4 - The fourth is the shortest, most mundane hole, a connector hole if you will. Dead flat and just 38 yards, this is a birdie hole. The house in the background was intimidating and the miss was usually short. How I never broke a window, I have no idea!
Hole 5 - The longest hole, at 82 yards, this downhill left-to-righter required a soft touch to keep the ball between the barn and the driveway. Playing off the roof of the barn was an option, though risky, as the ball could come up well-short or way-long. To this day, my only hole-in-one in golf!
Hole 6 - The last hole was a tricky, uphill 75 yarder that crossed the road and the parking area/pond. Anything that hit the road/parking area, no matter where it ended up, was considered in the hazard, requiring a drop.
