Now that you brought it up, I'm guessing I'm the only guy hereabouts who has these entries on his iphone address book: Bill Murray and Judge Smails.  The Smails guy is a friend who was nicknamed "Judge" for obvious reasons.  One day, a caddie said he was thinking of going to law school and wondered what kind of judge he was.  "I'm not a Judge, for Chrissakes," was his response.  "Well, why does everybody call you Judge?"  To which he replied, "Hell if I know."  He had never seen the movie.  Priceless.

At least none of our elected judicial candidates in Illinois were indicted just prior to the election. Unfortunately can't say that for the Dem. State Rep candidate from my District -- he was indicted for taking a $7k bribe about a week before the election. He was victorious on Tuesday! Ain't Chicago politics grand?

Actually, it was 313,670 - 0, the 126,515 votes came from the suburbs, the rest from the city.

That must be a tabulation mistake. I know for sure my dead grandpappy wrote in his son for that position.
