Just spoke to Chris Cupit, at Rivermont CC. Chris has been nice again to offer his wonderful facility to us.
So why don't we do Rivermont again as part of a GCA get together ?
So here are the options:
1. We can play on a Tuesday, when the club is closed and have the place basically to ourselves. We can play till we drop.
2. We can play on a weekend, but it would have to be after lunch, and we would have to limit it to 3 or 4 groups. Quite understandable, as Chris has to give his members first preference for play.
All interested, cast your vote.
I go with #1. Yes, it is a weekday, but we can plan it in the mid/late spring, this shuld give most of us a chance to clear our schedules.
I reccomend open play in the am, and some type of scramble format in the pm, and then we have dinner at the club if possible or go out somewhere for awards and maybe a presentation from someone on a topic of interest regarding golf architecture.
