Not for me.  While I do get to play at some special places on occasion, most of my play is outside of this list.

It does, I only play a handful of non GB&I or World 100s each year. Life is too short to play poor courses.  ;)

If I'm hungry, I'll eat anywhere.  But if you have time to plan, who wouldn't go to the best restaurant (or at least best value) in town?
2011 highlights- Royal Aberdeen, Loch Lomond, Moray Old, NGLA (always a pleasure), Muirfield Village, Saucon Valley, watching the new holes coming along at The Renaissance Club.

Since my home courses aren't top 100, the answer is no. But if someone would invite me to join Cypress, I might be able to answer that question differently.  When I travel, I only try and play the best, and I never play anything that isn't the best in the area.  So, where am I headed for the first-half of the year? Bandon, Ireland and KP 2012.  For me, life is too short and the cost is not different enough (typically $75 v. $175), so the few hundred extra dollars per trip is well worth the quality of golf of the experience.

Anthony,

Reading peoples' answers and evaluating my own situation, I'm really lucky that the course I play most is in the top 100.  That being said, the company I share golf with is probably more important than the destination.  I had a particularly nice day with you.

I still think about that day. How's life with the Taliban going?

Very funny.  BUT, Golf Channel called Miguel Angel Jimenez the most interesting man in the world this morning.  I think we have a controversy brewing . . . or maybe not.

Now that I think about it, Miguel actually looks quite a bit like the Dos Equis guy less 25 years.

Heck no - My 39  degree outing earlier this winter at Cobbs Creek with Joe Bauch and Mike Cirba was tons of fun.  Last time I checked, it didn't make any national top *** lists.

Nope but i have a good friend who pouts if he has to step out of the glory of the top 100 to a merely good or great course. One can tell a great deal by his pro shop acquisitions. He also has a soft spot for Tobacco Road which qualifies under kink category.

If you are going to travel half way around the world don't you want it to be top 100?

Anthony-There are some pretty fine golf courses scattered around the globe that don`t find their way into any top 100 lists. Now if you are on a belt notching mission then that`s a horse of a different color. ;)
