Here's another one, that was a little different than this one, but it still has the buzz word "Restoration".

My favorite I've seen is this one uploaded by Pinehurst.  There's some real quacks quoted in it.   :)

A) Do you associate Francis Ouimet with Pinehurst? I don't.  Nor Hagen, nor Palmer. And their names aren't carved into the grass when the "dude" leaves the tee with his happy caddie, so some UFO struck pretty quickly...

B) In the Ben Sims link, how goofy are the smiles on Ben and Bill's faces? Not a great shot to lead with...

C) And in the words of the penultimate photo, the one of Rossy, "Where are my sand greens?"
Coming in 2024

Quimet won the North South Amateur, I've tried to figure out the Palmer link. Maybe he hung out when he was at Wake Forest.

How about the simulated bagpipe sound?  Couldn't they afford a bagpipe player?  Not that I jump for joy whenever a bagpipe player shows up at some event I'm playing.  Too cheesy for me.

Palmer frequently played  P2 w/Harvie Ward when they were in college, and he also played in the N/S. After Palmer lost a 1994 SWWOG match against Nicklaus at P2 he said:  "No. 2 has been one of the greatest golf courses I've ever had the opportunity to play. And I go back to when he(Jack) was wearing three-quarter pants when I first came here."

As mentioned, Ouimet won the N/S at P2. That was in 1920.

Hagen won 3 N/S events at P2 starting in 1918.
