Don,
One other thing, that is what I do for a living...consult on new golf construction projects and renovations all over the world. Grassing plan selections, etc....  We did the initial grassing plan, out of the box with 1/2 inch bluegrasses....they were perfect for several years....

I am all too familiar with how things operated at AS but it is still one of my favorite designs....    they apparently have changed the opinion of the tribal council and are in support of the golf course. There were horror stories about the tribe tearing up the golf course at night because they did not want to be associatied with it...  Workers would show up for work one day, not show up for 3 days...couldn't fire them because they were tribal members...

Water quality was/is still an issue and something I think they needed to address much earlier.....

With limited maintenance resources....they are in for a struggle.....

Don,
Agree, they need an outside firm....one of the other posters mentioned seeing workers out doing stuff without any direction...I beleive they operated without a supt for almost a year....simplying mowing stuff only....one reason the greens were so poor.....  Tell Ron i said hello...I may see him next week in Vegas at the Golf show....  if you are attending....please stop by the Jacklin Seed booth and look me up....  we are schedule to go to AS March 13-17...power golf 36 per day....  I can handle rough edges and even a couple of rough greens....but I am not intrigued by the photos I am seeing....ugh
