The Importance of Golf Club Atlas
« on: December 16, 2001, 04:18:57 PM »
For me, it's not only a important part of my daily routine, but a total influence of understanding human nature:)

Joking aside, I can't begin to tell all how important this site is for not only the art, but hopefully the future of all golf couse design. I can only hope that not just a few, but several architects, both particpating or non-particpating find influence and inspiration for the future of all golf design, no matter of the differing opinion of all or most particpants.

At the risk of sounding like a PBS commercial,:o I can only urge you all to please click on the Contributions tab at the left of your screen and think about what this site means to you and how you can help. Your contribution can only mean even more intense dialog and insight to the game we love most; as well as getting to meet and converse with some of the Game's more intersting and knowledgable people. It also allows us to properly thank Ran and John Morrisset for providing us the platform for which we can voice our views.

Let all of us help make this site continue to grow in both popularity and sound resource.

Merry Christmas
Tommy Naccarato

Ran,

I didn't even see that new tab until Tommy had posted this thread, maybe you hsould make a different colour or something.  I will try to get something in the post after xmas.  Is there no way I can pay by credit card?  I can't remember the last time I paid anything by check.

Cheers Brian

Paypal ( www.paypal.com ) is something that can set up in a couple of minutes, and would allow any of us with Paypal accounts (a common form of payment on ebay) to make a contribution quickly.

I know that Ham & Egg's golf site really increased their membership contributions when they allowed Paypal to be used.  Another couple of DGs that I frequent also use Paypal for membership fees.

There are other online payment systems, but Paypal is the most common.

I think we have visited this topic before. I am very thankful for this site not only for the reasons Tommy stated above. It has given me a vehical to bounce ideas and discuss topics, thereby significantly increasing my base of knowledge on many topics. Most of my golfing friends love the game and enjoy talking about the game or a particular hole. But, it is difficult to get the level of interest one finds here on a particular type of hazzard/green design/etc. One can read extensively, but to be able to discuss the ideas with you gentlemen has been a blessing and a source of great happiness. Happy Holidays to one and all.

Thanks for pointing this out, Tommy - I too didn't notice the tab until this post.  My check is being sent today.  I get too much from this site NOT to give something back...

Cheers, happy holidays, etc. to one and all.
