My two observations on minimums:

1.  Most members like the fact that they know the facilities will be open as per the posted hours, regardless of traffic.  Being open on a Tuesday night until 9 with one or two members eating isn't rational, until you are one of those members.

2.  Other people's minimums are great - we all love it when someone says "help me use up my minimum".

Hee's a shout out to one of our own who "does it correctly" - Scott Dunn (and his small group) @ Twisted Dune (my good friend Archie Struthers knows Scott well).  Off peak, the TD team, takes in the greens fees, serves snack, beverages &  lunch (huge hot dogs) from the small shop.  Very efficient use of labor.  A few nice days in the Novemeber-mid-March time frame really help off season cash flow.

And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music
Would you hold it near as it were your own....."
