Wish Houston had its version of Common Ground. Any suggestions?

Try Memorial Park or head up to High Meadow Ranch north of town.

Tim I'm right down the street, another good one to check out would be River Ridge, straight shot out I-10.

I used to live on Eldridge Parkway between Briar Forest and Memorial!

My office was near Voss and San Felipe and I played Memorial Park many times.  I like the front 9 more than the back, but that's probably because I played many after work 9 hole rounds there.  The Wilderness about an hour south in Lake Jackson a lot of fun.  There's quite a few other good courses, but nothing great.

If you're feeling adventurous and are willing to deal with a bit of a drive, Blaketree National is a pretty cool place.

Have you played Lakeside, Westwood, Braeburn & Royal Oaks?
They are all in spitting distance.

I haven't been to Blaketree in years, but it is a pretty cool place.
