Was going to post that, even though it reflects badly on at least some golfing Texans.....Last time we made national news, I think it was for a strip club hosting a tourney on a local course and all getting arrested.

Was lead story on 10 PM news last night.  Didn't realize until reading the article that the incident happened on 1-27.

I don't think it reflects poorly on Texas per se...

I've played golf all over the west coast and seen this tense/hostile behavoir everywhere when it comes to slow play.  It just took a Texan to take it to the next level, thats all.  ;D

Agree. And, it's not just Texas...

Illinois:   A drunken confrontation on an Aurora golf course over slow-moving players resulted in two arrests, including a man whose swinging of a golf club earned him a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, Aurora police said.

As someone who grew up in Texas and still plays a lot of golf there, it's much easier to get a group to let you play through there than Washington DC, where I live now.  DC was recently named the 3rd rudest area in the country (we're coming for you New York and Miami) and I suspect the survey included the group playing ahead of me that's not letting me go through.

You guys don't understand the redneck education: these guys think the Cowboys Cheerleaders are high class because some of them have houses without wheels.(rumor has is that a few went to junior college for a year,but I digress) And their idea of a true golfer is John Daly.Bet the offending shaft was off a knock off Cobra club called the Snake.
