Ach, memories are made of this!
My family lived in the double-storey house, named Lismore, at the end of Links Parade, hard against the railway and overlooking the 18th. at Carnoustie and the first te on Burnside. As a wee one I was fascinated in that shop as it seemed so magical with its colourful cupola and rows of golf clubs just visible from outside. As a teenager I would drift in and ogle the latest shiny clubs and pristine white golf balls and smart golf bags....none of which I could remotely afford. The envy and covetousness was naked in my breast!!!!!!!
Marty, I'm getting maudlin in my reminiscences!
Cheers Colin
