Here is the link to the Golf Digest story.

Maaaaaaaaaac. I love him to death. After golf on Sunday he had to bolt our little Super Bowl soiree in order to make his next one down at Doral. Now I don't know anyone personally that's going over to Doral these days, but knowing Mac, I'd bet anything he's already updated mrpgolf and added the Blue Monster to his 'Hidden Gems' list. ;D ;) :-*

Congrats on the article Mac. However, I did make the mistake of wikipedia-ing Crohn's Disease while eating lunch. The pictures aren't pretty. :-X

Early front runner for Walking Golfer of the Year 2012

Certainly would be a step up from the 2011 winner  ;)  Just kidding - both of you would be great recipients

Why is the intro photo of Kenny Perry?

Wonderful story, thanks for sharing. Mac needn't worry about me dropping a 74 on him.

I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Mac both on and off the golf course this past weekend. A super guy that handles himself with the utmost class and humility. It was certainly my good fortune to meet him. He is hitting some darn good shots with those hickories too. :)

I've played golf with Mac.  I had a pleasant time.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Make the photo black and white, add a little fog and mist, and you could win Photo of the Year 2012 ... ;)

Tommy...

First off, thank you very much.

Secondly, I can't let that comment go.  That is way too much.  I'm just a goof ball who likes golf and maybe the game represents something more to me than it does to many other people due to some weird circumstances.  But, regardless, I can not accept your very, very kind words...as they are simply too much.

Fitting that I should make my first post regarding the man who brought me to this site.

Great article, great message.

Don't be too modest, Mac. It's my understanding that Carson will be gunning for his first Major this summer. Welcome aboard Carson!

Finally got around to reading the article.  Pretty inspiring stuff.  Mac, you should write an updated version of "The Power of Positive Thinking".  ;)  Makes me ashamed that I'm such an out of shape, jaded middle aged &*$%!  As MikeN would say,   OSSSSSSS!

Let my GD subsrcription expire a few months ago so had to pick up a copy in airport.  Great to see your story Mac!  Hopefully will get to meet and tee it up with you in 2012!

I am back from my travels.  And I do feel compelled to clarify one point; I did not write the article.  I know that GD has it titled as an article by me with help from Max Adler.  But Max's did the writing...I am nowhere near that good of a writer.  A friend of mine sent my story to Max, Max said he was interested in hearing more about me, we golfed together and talked, he typed up the story from his notes, I corrected a few things, he tweaked the story again, and that was that.

And I have to take umbrage with something Eric Smith said in this thread.  He said,

"After golf on Sunday he had to bolt our little Super Bowl soiree in order to make his next one down at Doral."

That is non-sense and totally misleading.  I had to go to Miami for business.  In fact, a CFA conference.

Nothing else took place down there.

Nothing.
