Nice to know that the course will now instantly leapfrog all of the following:

Pinehurst #2
Pine Needles
Charlotte CC
Old Town
Linville
Carolina GC
Mid Pines
Biltmore Forest
Highlands
Cape Fear
Wade Hampton
Mountain Top
Diamond Creek
Quail Hollow
Dormie
Forest Creek North
Forest Creek South
Eagle Point
Grandfather
Bright's Creek

Apparently the apple didn't fall far from the tree...

I played The Point when it first opened several years ago and thought it was a really good course.  It's so far out of town from Charlotte that I'm not sure you can compare it with other Charlotte courses, but it's probably in the top dozen or so and the neighborhood had a relaxed feel to it.

"Trump has said he and his father planned to put tens of millions of dollars into The Point to make it "amazing" and the best course in the state..."

Tens of millions?  Wow.  Place must be a dump to need that much fixing up.

You have to love the same BS over and over, yet the mullets keep asking for more of it.

A "Greg Norman design."  Maybe it does need lots of help.  Never been there myself, so I can't say.  http://www.the-pointclub.com/golf.html

Additionally, Trump just announced he's endorsing Romney.  Now we can all sleep comfortably...

Another step closer to "Trump National Golf Club - Charlotte"

And he'll buy it for a song: "... While the assessed value of the club is $22 million, Trump may buy it for $3 million."

I can`t imagine that the Trumpster gets hustled very often when it comes to buying real estate whether there is a golf course component or not.
