Most of us have been on golf trips before and on occasion return to special places.  We get closer and closer and finally upon arrival we see the sign for "X Club" this way, or even the official sign of the club/course.  Its always a blast taking pics of the entry signs.

But I wanted this thread to be about the non-golf related cues you see on that trip that signal you are starting to get real close to your destination.

Technically it's not a sign for the course! Maybe a picture of the sand dunes along Highway 1 would have been more appropriate, but this is about excited as I ever get over a freeway exit.  ;D

Kingsley to the southwest, Frankfurt, Arcadia, Traverse City to the west, Bellaire & Charlevoix to the northwest, Graywalls to the far NW, Indian River and Mackinaw Bridge / Island to the north, the Black Forest, Gaylord & Treetops to the northeast, Roscommon and Forest Dunes to the southeast, central mich to the south...

Before we go any farther, out of courtesy, do you think you MIGHT put a caption that tells us what course we're approaching? I get the amusement park-thing with Pine Valley, but a dock?
