Hi Jack, thank you for this.  Hope I'm that fit and clear at 86.  Didn’t he go on to St Patrick’s after that?


I've only played a few of his courses (all now with changes) and I like the routings, he gives that sense of a journey.  However what I take to be original greens seem to me uniformly flat and simple.  Is this a fair comment?

Hi Tony. I'm not sure if he designed St Patrick's before, and it was built after? I don't know, really.

I think the greens in Carne are a bit uninteresting, to be honest. I'm no expert, but they could do with a bit more movement, but not overly so. I think they could make great improvements to the course with some green changes and bunkering...
