Our home course in college was a course I always played well except for one hole. Number 3 was only about 170 and a good 40 or so feet downhill to a shallow green with a pond short and crazy mounding long. I've played the hole I don't even know how many times but only parred it once. No matter how well I played I found a way to butch this hole. The first time I played the hole I hit a mediocre shot and it got wet. The second time I lipped out my tee shot and made birdie.

The third time is what haunts me to this day. I flew it in the hole but it got rejected and went in the water. I should have made ace but I'm in the drop area, I take my drop and I hit the bottom of the flag and it goes in the water again. Take another drop, at this point I think my pants were crapped, 5th shot is a chunk into the water. Take another drop, catch it thin and hit it 30 feet past, I"M DRY!!!!!! I make the 30 footer and walk off the green not knowing what to think.
