How courses do you know where all four par threes are uphill? Any of them? It's hard to think of one, but Mark Twain has that feature. My two favorites are the 7th, which is pretty much straight uphill with a wild green, and the 11th. I remember the 11th green being plenty steep, even after alterations, and it's a great long par three.
5 and 6 are plenty cool as well. Not to criticize Montesano's photogs, but pictures have a hard time capture this golf course. The whole layout is on the side of a mountain, and most of the holes manage to play uphill. On the front nine, 1-4 and 7-8 are uphill, but 5 and 6 are two of my favorites, tumbling downhill with industrial Americana and more Southern Tier mountains in the background. The greensite at 5 is a gem, and the 6th green is very subtle if I remember correctly.
We should do a mini-GCA outing here soon--it's an absolute blast, despite the overwhelming number of pine trees.
