Another 2011 highlight thread

I know there are a bunch of these going around right now (Pic of the Year side A and B, 2011 Highlights, etc), but this can not be over-mentioned or discussed enough.

Our own Jim Colton stepped up big time to help out former caddy at Ballyneal Ben Cox when he suffered a life changing accident earlier this year.  Here is a link to the thread that breaks it all down...http://www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,47963.0.html

Kudos Jim.  You really did something special there.

What Jim did there is for sure the highlight of the year in 2011 for GCA.com and then a few GCA'ers stopped by to see Ben on their way to the 5th Major to try add a little more to the effort...I know this pales in comparison to what Jim did, but I hope it put a smile on Ben's face that day.

Jim, you set the bar high in 2011...but I know you've got something big in store for 2012!!!

Mac-That`s great stuff. The smile on Ben`s face had to be a highlight for all involved. :)

Mac,

In my mind Jim is the GCA'er of the year.

He used this forum for the benefit of Ben but reminded us all what a powerful tool for good we all have in our hands.

I know first-hand of the generosity of this board, as it helped me to raise a bunch of $$$ for Chip In For Carly (Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo) in 2010. I agree, Ash, that Jim will always be "Mr. 2011" on GCA. Mac, thanks for reminding us of the enormity of his undertaking.
