Mark, thanks for sharing.

Hopefully there are additional videos where Coore lets Crenshaw and Doak to talk.

Hopefully there are additional videos where Coore lets Crenshaw and Doak to talk.

They showed those clips to us a month ago at a dinner in Florida with the three of us and our crews and the clients.  At the end of the third successive clip where Bill did all the talking, the guys on both crews [but especially Bill's crew] started laughing, and when he started in again on the next one, it pretty much brought the house down.

I say that kindly, because it was nice to hear Bill vocalize his thoughts; he's usually pretty quiet about things.  He surely wasn't hogging the interview, but what I said apparently didn't come across as well to the editor's ears.

I laughed at that same point! You wouldn't think Bill is pretty quiet based on those six videos.

Pretty exciting stuff though!  I cannot wait to see the place.

Tom:  Two questions....1) Is this still scheduled to open to the public late this year?  2) I know the courses are not being built as walking only based on some earlier descriptions...but how walkable will they be?

Thanks!

My wife and I got a nice chuckle just watching Ben sit silent in his chair for nearly all of the videos.

I can't wait to see the finished product.

They are talking about opening 36 holes in October or early November.  If anything holds it back a bit, it will be the completion of the clubhouse, which is just getting started now.  Its position would make it VERY difficult to work out of a temporary facility, because the access to the courses would be completely blocked off by the building until it is finished.

Both courses are very walkable ... really the only tough hike on the whole course is the 50-foot hike up to the top of the dune to get to the first tee on our course.  Hopefully, they will shuttle people up to that tee if they intend to walk.  There are a couple of moderately long green to tee walks on each course, especially at the crossovers where the two come together ... but these are pretty flat, and not any longer than #11 green to #12 tee at Pacific Dunes.

I was super bummed to see that Tom didn't take Bill and Ben's cue and wear some shorts.  Being rural central Florida, it could've even been Jorts (jeans shorts).

This is probably as good as time as any to once again plug Keith Rhebb's photo stream on flickr.

Some great photo's...and fun to watch the progression....

Wonder if we took a poll here what percent would guess correctly (I have my guess).

Is this a Doak or C&C?

Thanks for posting the videos. I have a good friend moving down to Tampa next year, which should coincide perfectly with the opening of Streamsong. A buddy who works in PR at Kemper is raving about the course and the site, and said pictures really don't do it any justice at all. Can't wait to get down there.

It's a good thing Bill Coore can build golf courses better than he describes them.

Mike, I would say that 90% of the photos that are actually of individual golf holes (not the shots from the helicopter) are from the C & C course.

Played golf today at Cleveland Heights (FL) with a friend on the grow-in team at Streamsong and I have to say the latest pictures are pretty juicy. Looked Nebraskaish in a few places and Southamptonish in a few others.

Golf in Orlando this week followed the trend of the theme parks which sold out a number of days. Played at Sugarloaf and they were having a very good week with a full parking lot. Bay Hill was in fantastic shape, stopped at Championsgate to hit balls on the way back from Cleveland Heights. Wanted to play a quick 9 on The International @ CG, but the course was jammed. Hopefully the trend carries into the New Year past the holiday season.

Happy New Year.
