Thanks for TV ideas
« on: December 22, 2011, 08:10:11 AM »
I appreciate all the replies and thoughts that GCA has on TV ideas.  Some of them were really good and then there were others...  A big theme is that a lot of you want more inside info on what is going with players on the range and with their equipment early in the week. You'll like what we have coming on that front early in 2012.  Another theme Is that we should do a better job of relating architectural features to strategy. One suggestion was to edit a player's point of view into flyovers.  Great idea and I'm gonna try and get that done when I preview holes in our pre-game coverage. By the way, Frank Nobilo does an outstanding job with his hole pieces on our "Live From" the majors tournament coverage.  Those pieces have been so well received that I'm sure you will see more.

And, by the way, Frank really is a nice guy.  Brandel is mostly all right, but I just wish he'd atop fretting over his hair. He won't let any of the makeup ladies touch it.  Little guys can be touchy.

You guys really are a bunch of "Golf Dorks" but hey, I guess I'm one too.  I'll keep checking back for ideas and when a really good one pops up I'll steal it and pretend I came up with it on my own. Welcome to the TV bidness baby!

And Merry Christmas everybody!

Well at least he's being honest about the 'stealing ideas' bit.

But I can't believe Frank Nobilo is a nice guy? After all, he's from New Zealand.... ;)

Southern Hemisphere = good guy. :)

Charlie, I love Nobilo's segments during the Live From... shows. That was probably in the back of my head when I made my own similar suggestions.

Tell Perry I'm still available for a Road Trip...

Encouraging news from Charlie on stuff brewing at TGC.  Anything is better than another Big Break.  It also gives some insight on how Charlie got by at Georgia Tech.  Cut and Paste, ur copy, stay eligible.  JK, looking forward to the PGA season kickin' off and seeing your mug on the tube.

Merry Christmas.

This was neat.

Also I enjoy the previews of each holes on the live froms that include the pins and the difficulties associated with pin placement on that day.

Interesting these were my ideas....you can give me some on air love Charlie, it will help with my brand.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Hey Charlie, why don't you get your pal out of the basement and do an architect's corner once a week that he can host?  He can't just keep playing 20 questions on-line with the Georgia FB team capt., and tripping him up every time with the answer to; "cain ya eat it"?

Cain't ya just see'yit now?  You'll be at the desk and say:

'Now we'll go over to the architect's corner and our host Mike has a special guest this week , as he channels CB MacDonald and Seth Raynor to speak from the beyond about their intinshuns on what shots to hit into the Biarritz green at Yeaman's Hall.

Keep up the good work on TGC, happy holidays.
