Butler...did you set the fire? If not, which clubhouse is it?

The only rule on this thread should be, list the name of the clubhouse. Most of us can't recognize holes, so how are we 'spected to recognize the shed?

FTR, I love the cottagey clubhouses...I'd rather go inside one of those than into a place loaded with brick.

Started in the kitchen. Which was destroyed... Smoke damage in the dining room. No huge loss in revenue for the club, as they have mobile kitchen on site... Also, NSWGC is not much of a dinner destination due to the lease with the NSW Parks and Wildlife Service. Gates on Anzac Parade have to be shut 1/2 after dusk about 355 nights a year. Unlikely they could pin it on me since I haven't been within 3,000 miles of Sydney for about 3 years.

I loved the Sebonack clubhouse. Just a classic and perfect for Long Island. I was impressed.
I like to tell myself that I had a little to do with its location and the terrific clubhouse views.

While not iconic, I love the proximity of the 18th green to Kilspindie's clubhouse:

At 260 yards downhill, it's pretty easy to roll one's tee ball on the patio directly behind the green.

Panmure Golf Club Carnoustie

Where Ben Hogan practised for the 1953 Open and where a wee Scotsman caddied in the mid-sixties. A self-deprecating, slightly "down at the heel" look but comfortable in it's own skin (the clubhouse AND the Scot!). Note the blue skies!

The only iconic structure I see in this entire lot is the R&A. Maybe Stoke Poges for pop culture and Shinny for Stanny White. (Palmetto doesn't rise to the same level of significance.)

Leaving iconography aside, the biggest miss I see from the list so far is Everglades, a club house that actually is well-regarded by nongolfers and significant in Mizner's career. The bathroom architecture accounts for maybe the best if not most offensive club house story of all time.

For the sake of completeness I would add Thorndon Park and Blackheath.
