A few clubhouses I have come across:

Aronimink:

Atlanta Athletic:

Charlotte CC:

Maidstone Club:

Mountain Lake:

Oakland Hills:

Pinehurst:

Plainfield:

Redtail:

Rocky Crest:

Sebonack:

Shinnecock Hills:

Trump West Palm Beach:

Valderrama GC

The perfect clubhouse?  One of many things done well at Palmetto.

Loxahatchee Club, Jupiter, FL

Country Club of Florida, Boynton Beach, FL

Perhaps not iconic but a great place to spend a few hours.

I like the use of flags at several of the clubhouses. Aesthetically pleasing and gives a general sense of wind conditions.

I'm  a fan of public clocks which none of these clubhouses include.

 8) Eric, at first glance...  that clubhouse looked like Kingsley!

Tim and Steve,

That's the clubhouse at Long Shadow in Madison, GA, or as Mike pointed out, it WAS the clubhouse. Can't wait to get back there.

That would be correct.  One of the few that holds it's own next to a great course.  Nothing worse that a great track with a fugly house (Carnoustie anyone?).  Well I guess a crap course with a crap clubhouse is worse....

Bill,

That's inaccurate.  There is a cool public clock between the clubhouse and proshop at aforementioned Palmetto GC.
