Kalen, we'll see it happen again in a playoff or World Series.

You're probably right...one thing we know for sure with the human race.  History sure has a helluva way of repeating itself!

Rick,

Its like the old saying...time and place for everything.

Messing with a foul ball in game 51 of a 162 game schedule in the middle of june?  Not a big deal.

Messing with a foul ball that would have closed out the Marlins and sent the Cubs to a World Series with a great chance to end the 90-something year old curse of the Chi Cubs and liberate millions of fans globally?  A fair bit bigger of a deal!  ;)

Last Cubs Worlds Series Title was 1908 if I recall.

Bruce,

They were 5 outs away from the Series and on a roll.  Well at least the Division finally got rid of Pujols.  Now we just need to land Fielder or bid him up for the Marlins... 8)

C'mon John, It's a shakedown. Victory for Scotland.

Double C'mon, it's Donnie Trump:

I gave up trying to choose my champions the day I saw Steve Bartman put himself in the game.

My point above was that with so few men willing to take the risk required to keep this game going we should not be so choosy about our champions.  Let's try to stop with the negative waves and be grateful for the hand full of men we have left.

Never been a big fan of windfarms.

Check out the 2nd to the last pic in this story that Drudge linked today:

http://news.sky.com/home/uk-news/article/16125967

At least he is consistant, he complained about proposals for a windfarm long before he got planning for the development. At that time he threatened to pull out if the windfarm went ahead. I'm sure some of you guys have a better idea than me what he's spent to date but I can't see him pulling it now.

I'd love to see wee Eck stuff and give the go ahead for the windfarm. As though anyone is going to decide against a round there because of a few windmill 20 miles away.

Jim Kennedy,

That's some photo, a classic.

Tiger,

What the f__k does Jon Stewart know about Donald Trump ?

I know a number of smart, highly successful people who do business with him and a number of people who play golf with him and they all say that he's very smart and very practical.

Could you call him a caricature of himself ?   Sure, but don't underestimate his intelligence, he's taken smarter guys than all of us to the cleaners  ;D;D

If I recall that show correctly, Stewart was most pissed off because Trump was seen eating pizza with a knife and fork.  ;D

Comedians can't be too unhappy with The Donald, caricatures like that keep them in business!

Has there ever been a businessman who did more with OPM and chutzpah than Trump?

I'm no fan of the Donald, but Jon Stewart ain't funny (nor is Colbert for that matter).  He's a good writer who got a show.  As the Donald knows very well, it's all in the timing and delivery...

Jud -

Jon Stewart has probably gotten a little too self-important for his own good, but I think the Colbert Report is one of the funniest, most clever shows on TV.

I think Jon is a pretty funny guy. Because his show and current stuff is so political it alienates an awful lot of people which I get.

I don't mind guys who wear their politics on their sleeve from either side, but for the bleeding hearts IMO Bill Maher can run circles around Stewart and Colbert in terms of actual laughs.

Politics are almost never genuinely funny. It's just your guy scoring cheap points against their guy.

Sam Kinison was funny. I've still got tears in my eyes from the clip Jud posted, and I've seen it a dozen times.

Damn wind farm...

"Donald Trump is on the brink of abandoning his plans for the "world's greatest golf course" near Aberdeen after claiming his £750m project is being threatened by an offshore wind farm. The billionaire property developer has disclosed he has frozen plans to build the second 18-hole golf course, the five-star hotel, the luxury villas and houses and the timeshare apartments that make up the planned resort until a final decision is made on the wind-power project. Instead, the scheme will feature only the first golf course..."
