"it's a fun place to play and there should be any reason why it can't be managed in an environmentally protective manner."

Someone needs to post the names, adresses and phone #'s for the six board members that voted against the golf course so that they can be contacted by those that don't agree and voted out of office next election.

That someone could be you !!!   http://www.sfbos.org/

Just a reminder to anyone who is interested in supporting the efforts to save (and possibly restore/renovate) Sharp Park Golf Course -
the San Francisco Public Golf Alliance could use your help. Donations of your time and/or your money are very welcome! For more information, click here:

The SFPGA's efforts to save Sharp Park involve hiring biologists, attorneys, GCA's, consultants, lobbyists, etc. The cost of the services these people provide is substantial.

I received an email today from the San Francisco Public Golf Alliance urging people to emaiil SF's Mayor and ask him to veto the Board of Supervisor's decision.  They also asked to email and thank those individuals on the BOS who are opposed to turning over the course to the NPS.  It's not as sexy as sending some hate mail, but effective nonetheless...

The addresses can be found here-

Thanks Ron for posting the latest article on Sharp Park. As you can imagine, many of us in California and beyond, are delighted with the recent veto action taken by Mayor Lee.

Big thanks to all of our GCA fans who took the time to write a letter, attend a meeting, and/or make a donation in support of Sharp Park.

Save Sharp Park advocate Bo Links said it best...
"As Richard (Harris) and I often say to each other: we've won another hole. We're up, but it's only the front nine. That said, I like playing with a lead. Lots of hard battles to come. But the cause is just and we will never quit."
