Some very good entries so far. My entry -- a nice reminder of the very first GCA event Down Under!

I like this one I took of Jason Topp at Fallen Oak.  That is really where his tee shot ended up!

Jason does seem to find himself in some awkward spots.  Taken at Pennard in 2010, so not an official entry, but I thought it would give you a chuckle.  This was where his number two finished up, leaving an awkward turd shot.

Robin,
You said "I was loathe to give him a free drop!"

Poor Jason! Did he suffer the indignity of a two stroke penalty for hitting a ball in motion?

Cheers Colin

Trying to post a picture for the first time. Please forgive if it fails. I think this one from a quick evening nine is my favorite from this trip. #8 at Ballyneal at sunset.

Almost all of my golf-course pictures, this year, were taken of my daughter in competition. This one (of the approach to No. 16 at Wild Run in Eau Claire, Wisconsin) doesn't have much architectural interest, but it's pretty!

Here was my first golf picture of the year -- the wraps having just been removed from the 13th green at Oak Ridge C.C. in my hometown of Hopkins, Minnesota:

Neither one's an award-winner, but I had fun taking both of them -- and many others ... including this one, later in the year, in defense of some trees in some circumstances:

The final day of a trip 25 years in the planning.  The ninth tee at Olympic.  Straight down the middle.

It had better be.

Awkward, maybe -- but what choice did he have, really. None! Had to be a flop shot...

Whats the rule on that?  Is there a decision on balls that lie in animal droppings?

Every course had detailed local rules on droppings as well as the electric fences that surrounded greens.  The rules varied from place to place and depended on the type of dropping.

Eric,

Please make sure to post a proper warning before doing that again.  I just threw up in my mouth.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Mike - I'm confused.  The picture you just posted looks identical to the one you use for your profile (little picture to the left under your name), except for the evergeen-looking tree to the right of the cypress.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me?
