The Alotian was one of only a couple courses I've played that asked that I not take photos while playing. Which admittedly makes it a bit intruiging to me that they are opening up the course for a major event.
Its hard for me to speak to the difficulty of the course because I played so bad that anything would have seemed difficult. It has width, but also definitely preferred angles. Its comparable in difficulty to Point O'Woods, where they hosted the event for years. Its longer, but wider. The greens are challenging. They can set it up to be difficult if they are so inclined, or to allow low scores to quality play. My guess is that they will be able to draw some similarities to Augusta in that the pin placements will dictate how holes play on certain days.
A decently athletic golfer should be able to walk the course, but if they don't provide any shuttles it'll be a challenge even on the 18 hole days. When match play goes 36 holes, then it could be more of a test of stamina than anything else. With a caddie I'm very comfortable saying I could walk it once a day, but I enjoy hiking in the mountains.
