Haven't done one of these in awhile.  Be curious to see how quick this one gets identified.

Man, it looks a lot different now.  I stopped by during a fall golf trip this past September.  It's quite over grown.  It was sad to see....

I just happened to check-in and see what was being discussed on GCA after our dinner and opened up the AOTD - for me, it was probably the easiest course in the world for me to identify - except perhaps my home clubs today.  High Point is where my eyes were opened to good architecture and I learned that golf could be.  Since then I have been on a continual quest to see and experience great courses.  Not too long after playing High Point for the first time I began to collect golf architecture books and I began to lurk on this site. I have learned a tremendous amount from all of you and been entertained along the way as well.  I miss High Point and wish it could make its way back into operations...
