At eleven minutes past the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the eleventh year of our century: Thank You, all Veterans for the service you have given our nation.  I believe the two greatest freedoms that are protected and defended by those veterans are the right to vote and participate in our representative democracy, and the right to speak one’s mind.

Today is my wife's birthday.  She is miffed about the surprise party her friends have organized for her tonight and plans to wear a plastic tiara in protest.

You're right about we veterans fighting for the right to vote.  So did countless veterans of the civil rights battles.  It's a shame to see so many efforts to suppress voting today.   It's going on all over the country under the guise of fighting "voter fraud," although recorded examples of that are nearly non-existent.

I learned something else today; it is one minute earlier in Green Bay, WI than it is in Ran's world of GCA.com!  :o ;) ;D

Yet, it is never too early to celebrate veteran's contributions and our freedoms.  8)

When I saw this, I thought it was perhaps a run of scores posted by the lovable John Daly, esq.

Thread title looks like five of Nigel Tufnel's amps lined up in a row!

Strangely enough, in the South Africa v Australia cricket match, at 11:11am on 11/11/11, South Africa required a further 111 runs to win!

How about a little sooner - 8:11 pm on November 20 this year;

or in otherwords -  20/11/11/20/2011.

I thought it was Herman Cain's revised tax plan... or the actual number of women he's reached a settlement with.

RJ,

Last year I was in Las Vegas on 10/10/10.

I sort of lost track of time and couldn't understand why there were so many wedding parties, they were everywhere.

I never saw so many good looking Bridesmaids.
I mentioned it in a phone conversation and the other party told me that the reason was the date.

Anyone seeking an "enhanced" target rich environment should book 12-12-12 as it will be the last repeating date for another 89 years
