Portland, Seattle weather this time of year and course conditions

I just found out that I'll be in Portland on business next Thursday and Friday (Nov 17 and 18).  I was thinking of staying there that weekend for golf--maybe going up to Chambers Bay.  I see the forecast for this coming weekend is high 40's and rainy, and this seems to be the extended forecast for the following week when I will be there as well.

How will the course conditions be?  Will Chambers Bay be in better shape than most other courses?  I imagine this is a seasonal weather condition every year.

Not quite two weeks ago the weather in Bandon was mid-60s beautiful with pants and short sleeves 1 day, and still mid-60's the next with fog and misty rain.

Chambers Bay is built on sand. It should be no problem condition-wise. Only about 1" of rain between now and then but they have snow flurries predicted for next weekend. Go early, not late

It has been a pretty dry autumn in the NW, as far as I can tell.

Of course, it is kind of a wet dry in this part of the world.

Conditions should be pretty good.  Chambers would be tidy - Bandon was great two weeks ago.

FWIW, I spent time is Portland recently and played Pumpkin Ridge. I can't comment on the drainage, but will say that I really likedumpkin and it was a lot closer to Portland than Chambers Bay.

Thanks, everyone.  I see Bend only averages 1.5 inches of rain in Nov, and Portland averages 5.6, so I suppose that would be an option too if it is/has been raining a lot.   I love Bandon, but was just there for the King's Putter this spring so I thought I might go somewhere else, but I'll keep it (and Pumpkin Ridge) in mind too.

Bend/Redmond is at 3500+ feet, high desert. You also have to drive over mountain passes. But the courses are good. Check the weather before committing. I'm at Bandon that weekend.

How do you look at life? There should be a good day between fronts. Then again maybe not. As Sean said wet till May. The course will be fine though.
