The book is great. Thanks Wayne and Tom.  I have been trying to download to my IPad but have been unsuccessful.  I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to accomplish this

Fred

Does the disk show up in the upper right hand corner of the iPad?

It does on my Apple MacBook, and off I go!

What great piece of work!

Fred (and others with an iPad):

First you need to have iBooks on your iPad.  If you don't have iBooks, download it via the App Store (it is free).  Once you have iBooks, you then need to get the PDF file of the Nature Faker from the CD (or your hard drive if you've put it there already) to your iBooks program.  Here are instructions:

Once you've transferred the Nature Faker PDF to your iPad, use the iBooks program to read it.  It works very well.

I'm anxious to get to the point on the disk where Joe Valentine comes into the Flynn picture.

Bob Labbance book "Keepers of the Green" comments on their close relationship, especially on agronomy.

The Valentines, Joe and Rich, had such a big influence in Flynn's overall success as an architect, I hope this message is conveyed.

I'm anxious to know how you fared with the iPad.  My wife wants me off her Apple, and with my stricken Toshiba I'm tending toward an iPad.

Mr. Dow,
I was torn between an iPad and a new PC.  Ended up going to the Sony outlet in Limerick and picking up a really nice laptop for a lot less than an iPad.  Also keep in mind that iPads are almost impossible to come by these days.

I ordered and received my copy of this cd this week.   :o

It is the most comprehensive book that I have ever ordered.  If you are a Flynn fan, like myself, you will love seeing the old pictures and routing.  A terrific work by Wayne and Tom.

However, I must say that the pictures of Cascades made me quite sad.  What a golf course that must have been before the overgrown trees.  Let's hope they restore it some time soon.

I'm still trying to read through all this, and I'm a good reader of the printed page.  But I'm not familiar to reading from a screen.

Is this a good observation ?
