Trump National- Philadelphia
« on: October 29, 2011, 01:29:35 PM »
Joe Logan reports on the progress of Trump's new course and club in South Jersey. I must say that Trump is doing a great job there on all counts- course conditioning, clubhouse renovation, service and transformation into a country club with the addition of a pool and tennis center. As far as the course is concerned, none of the changes mattered to Joe and I as we did not play from the tips. The white tees were dangerous enough for our games.

Non equity memberships, with or without refundability, are the wave of the future for new private clubs or corporate takeovers of an existing private club IMO.

I thought Pine Hill was plenty difficult.  It sounds like Mr. Trump is putting in the impossible tees that every "modern" golf course is supposed to have.

Give him his due, though, for increasing membership anywhere these days.

I was there in June and loved the entire place. The golf course is very good, very hard, but very, very fair. I expected it to be a very stuffy place but found the members and staff to be very hospitable.

I've completely upgraded my Trump Philadelphia photo album based upon a late October visit from last year:

Joe & Steve,

What do you think Trump's investment, purchase and upgrade, has been ?

Mike,

So now you want to initiate class warfare in golf ?

It's bad enough that it permeates D.C.

Leave golf alone. ;D

When are you coming to visit MRCC ?
