I will be heading around Oswego the next couple days and will visit the superintendent out at Teugega CC in Rome and drop into Geneseo CC, but was wondering if any folks had any suggestions to other courses in the Oswego/Rome/N. Syracuse area?

Seven Oaks in Hamilton, without a doubt.  I've talked about it many times on here, but it gets better and better each year, and it's a blast to play.

Enjoy the visit to Teugega.  It is a true hidden gem with a great set of greens.

In addition to Seven Oaks ...

Perhaps not too far out of your way is Leatherstocking in Cooperstown. Gets rave and deserved (IMO) reviews on this site.

Also, although it's private, the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford (Close to Rome) is a great course full of some real nuance and worth a call IMO.

Dev Emmet's Mohawk GC in Schenectady is private but is worth the effort to get on.
