Yes you are right, but the nee, IMHO is for others to see more that the usual handful - Subject to weather, frame of mind and playing partners, these courses can offer just as much pleasure and some great golf, but I is that same old story, we will keep going to the names we know. So just trying to throw out a few more names that, IMHO qualify for any list of courses to play, in fact courses that should be experienced.
While many of the main courses that are near the top of the average list, I find that the pleasures comes from the playability of the course on that day and not being held up or delayed in my purpose, something we have all experienced on TOC, Dornoch Cruden etc., etc. So I do recommend going of the well beaten track and trying the other great but less known courses.
