RH is the epitome of what I would call a "professional amateur." If nothing else, you have to admire his enthusiasm for the game and his willingness to compete.
It is also worth noting that, in addition to playing in big-time events on top courses both nationally and internationally, RH plays a very full schedule of SF Bay Area/NCGA tournaments. He competes regularly against guys 1/2 or even 1/3 his age in tournaments that are often held on public/muni courses that some of us would rather not play.
