I look at the two holes as fundamentally different.
On the Alps, you've got to hit a good drive so you can take on the carry over the hill with your second shot; and if you decide you can't make it, you have to figure out where to lay up.
On the Himalayas, it's just a straight-out blind shot on a par-3. Plus, instead of the green being in a hollow in the dunes, it's in the open on the other side of a ridge ... which is less appealing for a blind shot in my opinion.
