I have recommended the Asperion Hillside in Worplesdon before and it's proved popular. It's 10 miles to Sunningdale and 21 to Walton Heath.

i noticed on Google that Sunningdale is only 16 miles from Heathrow.  Perhaps one of the hotels near the airport would work?

my favorite place to stay is at Wentworth - they have several nice rooms, and the clubhouse and property are excellent - 5 minute ride down A30 to Sunningdale

Keith - the rooms at Wentworth Club are indeed very nice but the cheapest are over $200 a night.

The MacDonald Berystede Hotel & Spa in Ascot.  It's in a great location.  It's a 5 minute drive to Sunnngdale and 15 minutes to Wentworth.

Priceline at Heathrow is probably your best cost:value:nice hotel ratio bet...and relatively easy access...do Priceline chosse 3.5 stars and bid $75...amazing what a good hotel you can get ;)

Stirrups Country House is very close to Sunningdale (perhaps 10 minutes) and is very nice.  We had a very nice meal in the dining room as well.  I would highly recommend them.

As mentioned above the Berystede is a very good choice.  You can also check the Royal Berkshire (5 mins from Sunnigdale) and the Runnymede Hotel (10 minutes to Suningdale and close the the M25)

If you'll consider a cheaper option than a full service hotel, the bed and breakfast in Sunningdale is highly regarded and recommended.  Within walking distance of the golf club.
