Jim...I'm a bit dumbfounded by the comments. Which leads me to believe that I'm not on the same wavlength as you guys on this "freedom" thing. I don't want to thread jack, so I'll bow out. But in regards to your question, this link leads to a nice discussion of hole 8.

I can't help except to remind you all that the answer to every question here at gca.com is "The Old Course". I'd add that the answer to almost every question is now "Old Macdonald" and that the answer to many many questions is "Wolf Point".

(Personally, but these don't count, I also often like to answer with "Walton Heath", "Garden City" and "English tier-two courses").
