European MiniTour bans Belly Putter

Gecko ProTour has banned the long putter:

A good thing from where I sit, and if we can just get that new pro tour ball in play, all may be well again.

They banned the belly putter, but took no action against the broomstick? How much sense does that make?

Stupid tour...forgot to add the Schenectady, the rut/track iron, the sand wedge and the baffing spoon to their list of flatulent decisions by constipated people.
