What part of the cover?  The fun part of collecting the Cameron series?

If you can find a golf course that does not allow putter covers then you might have found the perfect course. ;)

I get that if you spend $300-400 on a putter you'd want to protect it from banging into the other clubs. That being said, I don't have a putter cover on my old 8802 which is in the bag right now.

This moment? Really?

Anyways,

Isn't the putter cover just a form of advertising? And we all know were going to loose it someday.

Putters are made of softer metals these days, I don't want my putter to be beat to hell. Now iron covers are the stupidest thing ever, if I see someone with iron covers I don't even want to play with them.

You better not use any headcovers if you're going to harsh on the putter cover -- unless you have a long putter banging into you driver all day and then you should slowly back away from the thread.

Or you want to play with them, and you want to play them for money!

And I have a putter cover, it is the red scotty cameron one. I could have got the black one but then it would have been less obvious from far away that I have a Scotty Cameron putter.

Seriously, what's wrong with putter covers?

Maybe Mike is a little nervous about tonight and wanted to take out his angst on putter covers.

I use a putter cover to protect my Scratch irons from the putter.

I have a putter cover, but that is because it cost me $300 for one club, same with my driver and woods. My irons are forged so expect them to be dinged up, but I don't like that in a putter. I use it more than any other club so it is important for it to stay looking nice.

No one has ever "lost" a putter cover.
We all know the bagroom attendent stole it ::) ::)

Mike,

I must admit, I'm curious what that statement might be?  I have an idea in my head but was wondering what your original intent was.

A great player uses a putter for 1/2 their shots. A horrible player uses it for at least 1/3.

Yeah, no idea why one would want to protect the one club used that often.

I  really liked the striped black/white knit cover that came with my Ram Zebra back in the 70's.  I was deadly with that putter - especially from distance.   I still have the putter but not the cover.  If any of you haters have one, let me know.

Hmmmmm.  I also don't use my driver head cover during a round.
