This year the finals of the Crump Cup spills into October, Sunday the 2nd to be exact.  I know of a few people planning to attend.  Those that come in a day early, perhaps some golf on the afternoon of the 1st can be organized.  And maybe even early morning on the 2nd.  I believe the gates open to the public at PV for CC2011 at 1 PM.

If any of you plan on coming but do not want it advertised on this thread, send me a PM.

I can see if some of my boys can help out hosting at Rolling Green.

A later afternoon round would be pretty neat Mayday.  I could see this being about two groups, three tops.

I'm considering a public course option over in Jersey for Sunday morning.  Like Scotland Run.

Joe,
How many people do you think would attend a golf outing?  Would Saturday work?  Its sometimes hard to do an early Sunday morning or late afternoon if people want to watch the Crump.

 Joe,

I think a late day round would be perfect; I hope I can convince a couple of RG guys to host. Maybe even Jim Coleman would like that ;D

I am planning to head down for the Crump Cup on October 2 and would be interested in meeting up for a Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning round (or both  ;D ;D).

Joe,

You had me until you said "public course."

I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Right now I've had enough people contact me to guess we could get 2 groups together, perhaps even three.

Mayday is looking to line up his club, Rolling Green, later on Saturday afternoon.

Now if somebody belongs to a private club near PV that is welcoming to a couple of groups real early on Sunday morning, please contact me!

It's crowded, the grass has big brown patches in it, they don't rake the sand traps. Not to mention the caliber of people you have to play with!

Looks like for that Sunday morning before CC2011 we might be able to play at a site that hosted not one, but two US Opens.  How's that suit ya' Kra.. errrr, JC?!

Aren't there only 9 holes left of the course that hosted the Opens?

You've learned how to use Google, haven't you?!

Yes, we have an offer to play St. Martins on Sunday morning.  With the time-frame being a bit tight, that might work very well.  I prefer to arrive at the amusement park parking lot by 12:30 at the latest, then be at PV's gate (after checking out the Sumner Station, grin) before the 1 PM opening.

Dear Joe,

Riddle me this, Batman....

If I don't play in the Crump Cup or any other tournaments this year, did I actually play golf in 2011?  ;D

I'll likely be there, but only to observe.   ;)

I am getting lots of interest in golf beforehand.  Should be a good weekend.

Mayday, let me know how many people you can take at Flynn Masterpiece on Saturday afternoon.  I have another person willing to host that same afternoon at Tilly Masterpiece in the area.  With a real good turnout, we might have split squads for the Sat golf, like in the Grapefruit League!

I would rather know how many might want to play. I will then get a member for each three guests.

Pickering Valley is pretty flexible on this Dan.  I believe you can pay after 9 holes if you tee off before the shop opens.
