NLU Visits Country Club of Charleston
« on: April 03, 2019, 07:28:35 AM »
With the U.S. Women's Open coming, NLU profiles some of the work done to restore the course by Kyle Franz. The course looks awesome and should be create a great tournament to watch.

Also, they did another short video playing with Ariya Jutanugarn at CCC. She is quite funny in the video.

Thanks Steve.
Probably the best thing I’ve seen from the NLU guys.
Particularly appreciate the reverse Redan and the comments about the strategy some folks have adopted in playing it. Lions Mouth green too. I guess the 9th at ANGC would once have been pretty lions mouth (see other current thread).
Worth viewing in conjunction with the Courses by Country profile contained herein -

I just wish I was in the lo country during tourney time. The Womens Am held here a few years back was a very sporty affair, the green sites are great, and the course should be a good spectator experience as it is wide open for sitelines and circulation and the golf will be very artistic I am sure. All in all a very good value
"Golf is happiness. It's intoxication w/o the hangover; stimulation w/o the pills. It's price is high yet its rewards are richer. Some say its a boys pastime but it builds men. It cleanses the mind/rejuvenates the body. It is these things and many more for those of us who truly love it." M.Norman

You shore do got a purdy mouth, Vandy.  :-*

I concur, this video is awesome. A night out at Halls Chophouse would be the cherry on top.

A fun set of holes with some great long views out to the Stono Bridge. This course should be a good fit for the Women’s U.S. Open with plenty of drama possible on the inward nine. The reverse redan is in a league by itself.
