2nd shot to 11th green TOC having missed the green.
Oddly, the first time I played it, my ball ended up short of the green right next to Gordon Moir's (Links Superintendent) and we were having a match for a beer.
He putted his and it went past the hole about a foot.
I hit a little pitch with an L wedge that also went about a foot past the hole.
There was a wee breeze blowing and his rolled back into the hole for a deuce, while mine only rolled back about 6 inches, leaving me a 6-inch par putt. He and the Head Greenkeeper clipped us 4 and 3 for the beer, and it was well worth the cost.
Back on topic I figure the hardest shot I've seen on a course of reknown is the second at Foxy on Royal Dornoch--with a left hole location. I still can't figure out how someone would get on there in regulation.
