Pacific Dunes period. They are great creative and create fun short game opportunities.

I think Old Mac has the most memorable set of greens and it has some of my individual favorites (like #6!!). That being said my favorite set of greens out there is Pacific Dunes.

BT for the greens and the challenge.  OM's greens track the best.  PD's are being taken over by Poa.

My personal favorite is Pacific Dunes because of design and the options that they bring.  On our trip Bandon Dunes and Bandon Trails were both rolling fast and true.  The greens on Old Mac were over the top from a speed standpoint for the wind conditions that we played in, but they were fun.  All courses at Bandon are quality and fun! ;)

I loved the Old Mac greens. The variety of pin placements, they really make you focus on your irons and your short game so you don't 3/4 putt.

Jim,

How many times do you need to play it to figure out where to hit so you don't do that? Is it obvious the first time around?

Sean -

Some of the holes were fairly obvious. Off the top of my head 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 18. Others your caddie will steer you to a desired place. We had really good caddies my trip and they were all comfortable knowing where to be and not to be.

I think my favorite greens were on Old MacDonald.  That being said I don't think the greens would work on most courses in the US.  I was somewhat prepared for a course with more severe greens.  I liked them because they were huge and therefore I hit 15 of 18 greens in regulation.  I liked the way they rolled and when I was 10 feet or so I felt confident over my putts.  I enjoyed the lag putts because it was fun to see the movement.

Shorty's - Really there are 9 really cool greens that if put on most decent full size courses would make it a candidate to be a T100.

I must say that after 2 1/2 days of playing the greens on the other courses, I enjoyed Bandon Dunes' flatter greens.  I suddenly had a shot at birdie when I got on in regulation.
