Just some context before examining whether or not there's a difference between a cape style drive and a drive with a hazard on one side that does not call for a diagonal carry. 

BT 10 and 11 and PD 8 (and possibly 16) seem to fall into the latter category.

Kalen made a good point on the challenges inherent in these shots and the judgment required.  Its the type of shot that shows it true teeth the further back the hole is played (by accentuating the diagonal aspect and creating tougher decisions while reducing the margin for error).

For example, the drive on the 14th at CB requires judgment in picking the correct line and execution to keep it online or right thereof without peeling left.  However, from the up tees the hole plays fairly straight and the challenge of carrying the waste area is lost.

I did find one thing repetitive about CB and that was the drop shot par 3s.  It would have been nice to have some level ones or even slightly uphill.  Outside of that I really can't think of anything else that seemed redundant.
