Recovery options are important, but I don't think every player should have the right to "recover" from EVERY spot on the golf course.

I agree with this, but one of the things that peeves many players about Old Macdonald is that there are places around the greens where it's difficult / almost impossible to get up and down, even though it's all short grass.

This thread is an abomination – its needs to be banned, the writer flogged (give me the whip – please, pretty please)
He should be confined to quarters with zero malt ration, drum kit ceremonially stripped down in front of his eyes and all of his collection of Ian Fleming books on Bond, burnt.  As for his clubs, he can keep for the good they do him on a golf course.

OT is the oxygen in the blood for this site, just think what you guys would do without a List of the top rated 50 or 100 clubs. Actually come to think of it these listing seem to take more preference that anything remotely to do with GCA.

Perhaps we should re name this site Raters Galore due to the volume of Listing that are poured, ops meant posted.

Anyway OT is in fact short for Old Tom so perhaps OT posts do indeed have a place on this site.

I wouldn't mind seeing the two of you walk hand in hand into the sunset. My only problem with these types of threads is that people should not come on here and bitch about the site without offering a solution. My solution to the degradation of the quality of conversation is clear.  Get rid of Garland and others like him who insist on participating on every thread without adding to the architectural content.
