Mike,

I have just discovered evidence at Merion Cricket Club that Frank Lloyd Wright presented plans for a club house at Merion and that he influenced and advised Hugh Wilson on the design of many holes. So, add him to the list.

The new practice tee (which I don't think will be used for the Open) also looks pretty amazing.

I've seen it in person and it looks like one of those space docks you see in the Star Trek movies.  It's VERY cool!
