Does Pebble Beach have good land for golf?
« on: August 11, 2011, 09:31:29 AM »

Throw out the cliffs, cove, beach and water which is impossible and what do you have left. Fairways on 2,8 and 18 are the only ones where you don't have shots with the ball above or below your feet or an uphill or downhill lie.

Doesn't rolling terrain make for great golf ?

Sounds like GCGC

That flat spot on #8 isn't very big, is it?  The fairway is uphill until you step off into the chasm.

I'd say yes.  I think if you take a hole like #16 or 3 or 4, it is not a stinky piece of property to put a few golf hole.  The elevation changes, with a few well known exceptions, aren't overly dramatic.  I suppose you could say #11-16 are built on some pretty ho hum land.

You could, but then you'd be wrong.
