US Am Qualifier in Harrisburg, Pa.
« on: August 05, 2011, 12:58:02 PM »
Has anyone out there played Colonial Country Club in Harrisburg, Pa.?  They hosted US Am qualifying this past week and a score of 19 under (!!) par 125 was the qualifying medalist. 11 under 133 played off two-for-one for the second and last spot. According to the club's website the course plays over 6800 yards to a par of 72.

19 under for a 36 hole qualifier? That is one obnoxious score.

If it wasn't a nearly 2h drive, I might have been tempted to drive out there today from the Philly 'burbs.  Beautiful here with lower temps (and GolfNow with a real cheap rate).

Played there in local US Open qualifier in the mid 70s. Not much clear recollection of the course but it seemed straightforward. I advanced to sectional with one under for 36 holes - times have changed!
