Your favorite par 5 at Pebble Beach

Rarely does a course have four quality par 5s like PB. So which one is your favorite?

6 by a landslide

18 has OB on each side, 14 is long and uphill for a short hitter, 2 is squeezed around the green, so I'll take 6 as well. And what a view from that green.

From a 70's perspective;

#2 is fun because its straightaway and reachable...possible early birdie or better in the round.

#14 is also fun, especially after smashing a power fade drive. and then hitting a SECOND shot up the right side and and onto a green (NLE) that could hold the shot...unless it went farther right into the green side bunker under the live oaks (NLE).

#18 is good too...obviously...but NONE of the above are worthy, and are but a pale comparison to my true love...#6

*Only marred of late by the horrible walk back caused by the the elimination of the old (NLE) #5.

6 for mine only gets interesting from the 2nd shot - I'll take 18 where the ocean and OOB are constant threats

6 is my favorite by a fair amount. The other three are more tightly bunched but probably fall in the order of 14, 18, 2 for me.

I got to play Pebble for the first time today actually on my first trip to California.  It was amazing all around.  The weather was spectacular and the conditions perfect in advance of the AT&T.  I have to say 6.  I couldn't stop staring at that hole from other vantage points around the course.  I really liked 14's green as well.  For me, it would be 6, 18 and 14 (tied), and then 2.

6. I found the setting more memorable than 18.

The second shot on 6 is unlike anything I've ever encountered on a course, I can say the same about the green at 14...but I proposed to my wife on 18 green so I'm biased.

I too would vote for #6 as my favorite par 5 at Pebble Beach.  The view once you reach the green is spectacular and is a preview of what is to come over the next 4 holes...Also biased because I birdied it the only time I have played there...

Not a fan of the 14th green. I am partial to #18 since you can see the entire hole. The view from #6 green is pretty cool.

6.

I seem to be a fan of down-and-up par-5s: Lawsonia 13, Sutton Bay 8, Pebble Beach 6, Quarry at Giants Ridge 2.

They please my eye from the tee and the green, and they please my limited sense of "adventure" in the approach.

I go with #14.

Two good shots required to get within wedge distance; more precision required on the approach than #'s 6 & 18.

Just a brilliantly designed pure  golf hole that has no ocean for the "OMG effect".

The second shot on #6 is certainly more nerve wracking, but the is plenty of room to the left and the green complex isn't dangerous if you miss.

After #15 at PVGC, #14 @ Pebble is my 2nd favorite par 5 anywhere.

Six.  Great second shot unlike any other I have played.  You hit a good one and you can't wait to trudge up the hill to see the result.  By the green there may be not a more spectacular place but then I can't wait to get to the tee on 7!

Two is underrated for normal length hitters.  With less than a great driive the ditch gets in your head on whether to lay up or not.

I find 14 to be a a lot until the third shot and the green really needs to be redone to recapture some previous pinning spots on the front.

18.  Great but the OB takes a lot away for me.
